Waterville known as the Jewel on Ring of Kerry is a haven of tranquillity with some of the most spectacular scenery in Ireland. The  area has the finest combination of natural beauty with magnificent mountains, valleys, rivers and lakes and National Parks along with over 50 miles of coastline sheltered coves and wide sandy beaches.

Golf

Golf at Waterville is a mystical experience - the beauty of classic links land, surrounded by the sea, yet forever challenged and shaped by the elements. Over 100 years old, Waterville is rated among the top 5 courses in Ireland and the top 20 links courses in the world.

Links golf combines sand dunes gorse and native grasses, firm fairways, sod faced bunkers and subtle putting surfaces all intertwined by the ever changing weather.

Angling & Fishing in Waterville

Waterville House has access to private lakes and fishing. Lough Currane located at the foot of Waterville House. It is renowned for its scenic beauty, its stock of salmon, sea trout and brown trout. There are many specimen fish caught on this lake.

The Cummeragh River, with it's five upper loughs, Derriana, Namona, Cloonaghlin, Na hUisce and Coppal, feeding the main Cummeragh River which flows into Lough Currane, (17 miles in circumference), before entering the sea by a short river. All these loughs contain Salmon, Sea Trout and Brown Trout. Higher in the hills there are numerous smaller loughs, rarely fished, containing mainly small Brown Trout.

The lnny River, is a useful sized spate river some 15 miles in length which supports a good run of Salmon and Sea Trout from June onwards.

Hill Walking

The Kerry Way is a hill walk that offers may different routes around the Ring of Kerry - if you are fit it is well worth the track - the scenery is spectacular.

Scuba Diving, Sailing, Surfing, Water-skiing, Boating, Swimming at Derrynane
beach.

Sightseeing/Attractions

Boat trips available to Skelligs Island and Church Island. Heritage Centre at Ballinskelligs.

market is a showcase for Irish craft and design. It is officially
acknowledged by craft workers throughout the country as one of Ireland's
most outstanding outlets, a special place to visit.
