O'Carolan Harp, Cultural & Heritage
Festival, Nobber, Co
Meath is held in September each year.
The festival held in Nobber Co Meath, is
the birth place of the famous harper Turlough O'Carolan,
after whom the festival is named and
celebrates his love of the harp and its
music. Spirits of Meath, Co
Meath meet each October marking the end
of the Celtic Year as it was in olden
times on the Hill of Ward near Athboy,
Co Meath. Moynalty Steam Threshing Festival,
Kells, Co Meath is held each year in
Moynalty in the month of August showing
the old time farm machinery and way of

built during the Neolithic or New Stone
Age by a farming community that
prospered on the rich lands of the Boyne
Valley. Continue on and visit the
Hill of Tara, where for two thousand years the high kings occupied this

Kells High Crosses in the centre of
Kells town is St. Columba's Church of
Ireland whose cemetery contains the
round tower, several high crosses and
nearby, an ancient oratory said to be
the house of St. Columcille |
